this research project was conducted to evaluate bioavailability and chemical properties of different zinc sources in broiler chickens when fed by practical diets. for that, 312 day-old male ross 308 broiler chicks were fed from 8-28 day to estimate the biological availability of four zinc sources. chicks were allocated randomly to 13 experimental diets in a 3 × 4 factorial design. diets included an unsupplemented corn-soybean meal basal diet, or the basal diet supplemented with 100, 150 or 200 mg/kg of dm as either zinc sources. supplementation of basal diets by different zinc levels and sources had no effects on feed intake and body weight gain of chicks during the first and the second weeks of experimental periods, but feed conversion ratio in the first and the second week, feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio in the third week and the total experimental periods were significant (p

تخمین زیست فراهمی منابع مختلف عنصر روی در جوجه های گوشتی تغذیه شده با جیره های نیمه خالص

An experiment was conducted to estimate the bioavailability and evaluation chemical properties of different zinc sources such as zinc sulfate, zinc oxide A, zinc oxide B and Bioplex Zn in broiler chickens fed by semi-puirfeid diets., At first, for chemical and solubility evaluation of different zinc sources in different solvents based on standards methods, 3 samples each containing 1 and 0...

Zinc: Dietary Sources and Bioavailability

11-409 12015 Zinc, as a cofactor for numerous enzymes in the body, plays an important role in growth and development, wound healing, taste acuity and appetite, immune function, and gene expression (1-4). Although zinc is needed in only small amounts by the human body, some people are vulnerable to mild to moderate zinc deficiency (1). Zinc deficiency results not only from a diet low in zinc-ric...

Real Time PCR Based Expression of Metallothionein and Evaluation of Zn Bioavailability in Chickens Fed Zinc Oxide and Zinc Methionine

Zinc (Zn) as a micro mineral is essential for growth, skeletal development, and immune competence in chickens (Hudson et al., 2004). Inorganic Zn salts, such as sulphate and oxide, are generally supplemented in diets to meet the Zn requirement of chickens (Cao et al., 2002). However, in the recent past Inorganic trace minerals (ITMs) have been replaced by organic trace minerals (OTMs) because o...

Effects of Calcium, Phosphorus and Zinc in Wheat-Based Diets on Broiler Chickens’ Performance, Immunity and Bone Parameters

An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of zinc (Zn) supplementation and different concentrations of calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) in wheat-based diets on the performance, immune responses and bone parameters of broiler chickens. A randomized complete block design with factorial arrangement was used (three concentrations of Zn supplementation×two concentrations of dietary Ca-P),...

Chemical characteristics and relative bioavailability of supplemental organic zinc sources for poultry and ruminants.

Eight commercially available organic Zn products and reagent-grade ZnSO4 x 7H2O (Zn Sulf) were evaluated by polarographic analysis, and solubility in .1 M K2HPO4-KH2PO4 buffer (pH 5), .2 M HCl-KCl buffer (pH 2), and deionized water. Fractions from these solubility tests were evaluated by gel filtration chromatography for structural integrity. Degree of chelation was generally positively related...
